NEW YORK CITY, NY – The weekend of November 3rd and 4th a group of 35,000 has declared they will be taking over New York City. This “gang” is like no other; they don’t want your money, they won’t be selling the crack cocaine and they don’t particularly care what anyone else in The Gang is doing. TIMES SQUARE STOPS ADVERTISING
NEW YORK CITY, NY – Leading up to the NYC marathon Times Square and it’s advertising partners have donated all digital sign space to those running the marathon this year. Each runner will have his or her portrait taken at the marathon expo and then displayed on signs in Times Square. The name of the project is “Race Face” and those living in the 5 boroughs will see the project kicked off about a month prior to marathon week.
RAT POPULATION STAGGERING IN NYC… KIND OF.
NEW YORK CITY, NY – New York City has always been a rat race; the commute to work, getting through the Holland Tunnel at rush hour or catching a taxi in midtown. In a quirky advertising campaign for the NYC marathon an unknown sponsor has been filling the city with stickers of rats running and even giant stuffed rats running through city streets (we’re guessing there are a few people in these giant rats from the legs running underneath them). The only message we’ve seen associated with this campaign has been “No trap can catch you on 11/04/07.”

NEW YORK CITY, NY – 100 treadmills have been setup inside NikeTown NY that are hooked-up to the stores power supply. Anyone willing to participate can run and power the store.

NEW YORK CITY, NY – A campaign launched in New York City by Nike combines the latest technology and the oldest sport in the world. Using receiver stations around the city that listen for Nike+ sensors runners are awarded streets as they run on them. The runner who has captured the highest number of “land” in the 5 boroughs is given the key to the city.
